Original Description


Streaked Strophia.

Differs from the Curtiss Strophia in having the aperture larger with a flanging margin and color white with streakings of purplish umber.  Very common on rocky shore east of Ft. Winston, New Providence.  Nearly all dead in 1913.  Examined 1000.
