Dynamenella perforata

Dynamenella perforata is a shallow-water sphaeromatid isopod which inhabits intertidal coral rubble and algae. It has also been found living under the chiton Acanthopleura granulata. Excorallana tricornis is a common corallanid isopod found in Florida, the Caribbean and the Gulf of Mexico. It lives in intertidal coral rubble, in coarse sediments in Syringodium and Thalassia seagrass beds, and in deeper waters on brown alga Turbinaria, on Madracis sp. sponge, on Agaricia sp. coral, on the gills of rays Aetobatus narinari and Dasyatis, and on squirrel fish. A closely related subspecies, E. tricornis occidentalis, is found on the Pacific coast from Mexico to Panama.
