Type Material: Lectotype, MCZ 76283 RemarksAs this taxon was published in Part Three of Contributions to the history of the Cerionidae with descriptions of many new species and notes on evolution in birds and plants, the authorship is attributed to Maynard, rather than Maynard and Clapp, as listed in Clench (1957:151).
