Original Description: Click to view Geographic Distribution: Berry Islands, Bahama Islands. Type Locality: Crab Key, Berry Islands, Bahamas [25° 25' N, 77° 55' W] Type Material: Neotype, MCZ 76270 Harasewych et al. (2007:443) reviewed the nomenclatural history and type material of this species and designated MCZ 76270 as the lectotype. The remaining 1,131 specimens, including MCZ 356998, MCZ 76271, MCZ 118258, and USNM 420123, are paralectotypes.
