Geographic Distribution: Cuba.

Type Locality: Port of Vita, Cuba

Type Material

ANSP 73484. Baker (1963:207) subsequently designated as the lectotype the specimen illustrated (fig. 1) by and segregated under catalog number ANSP 73484a.

Lectotype measurements: Length 24.4 mm; diameter (excluding lip) 13.3 mm; aperture height (including lip) 11.2 mm, aperture width (including lip and peristome) 9.5 mm.

Remarks

Although commonly cited as 1898, this paper was "mailed" on January 13, 1899 [date printed inside of bound proceedings for 1898].
