Type Locality: Fossil in cliff at north end of Goat Key, Great Harbor; [Berry Islands, Bahamas]. [25° 45' N, 77° 50' W]

Type Material: Lectotype, MCZ 76143

There are 39 paralectotypes, including MCZ 76144 and MCZ 118257.
