Type Locality: Great Srirrup Key, [Berry Islands, Bahamas] [25° 50' N, 77° 54' W]

Type Material: Lectotype, MCZ 76173

There are 2,007 paralectotypes, including MCZ 357010 (178 specimens) and USNM 420126 (150 specimens).
