Geographic Distribution: New Providence and Adjacent Islands, Bahama Islands.

Type Locality: Extreme east end of Hog Island [Paradise Island, New Providence Island, Bahamas]

Type Material: Lectotype, MCZ 76274

There are 1,053 paralectotypes, including MCZ 76275 and USNM 419991 (250 specimens).

Remarks

Gould and Woodruff (1986:475) and synonymized this taxon  with C. glans (Küster, 1844).
