Geographic Distribution: New Providence and Adjacent Islands, Bahama Islands.

Type Locality: James Corner, East Nassau, New Providence Island, Bahamas

Type Material: Lecctotype, MCZ 76022

There are 3 paralectotypes, including MCZ 357016 (2 specimens).

Remarks

From crab hole, with S. concina and S. pygmea. Gould and Woodruff (1986:482) considered this taxon to be a synonym of Cerion gubernatorium, but questioned if it were truly "fossil" or just long dead.
