Geographic Distribution: Cat Island, Bahama Islands.

Type Locality: near Turtle Cove, 4 mi. N.N.E. of The Bight, Central Cat Island, Bahama Islands

Type Material: Holotype, MCZ 107534

Remarks

Clench (1938:529) reported that only a single colony was obtained on Cat Island.  He noted that C. felis was found in the same general area and reported the occurance of hybrids between C. felis and C. russelli.
