Geographic Distribution: Berry Islands, Bahama Islands.

Type Locality: Eastern Soldier Key, Berry Islands, Bahamas

Type Material: Lectotype, MCZ 76207

Harasewych et al. (2007:442-443) reviewed the nomenclatural history and type material of this species and designated MCZ 76207 as the lectotype. The remaining 924 specimens, including MCZ 76208 and USNM 420147 are paralectotypes.
