Geographic Distribution: Exuma Group of Islands, Bahama Islands.

Type Locality: On south end of Ship Channel Key, [Exuma Group, Bahamas] [23° 34' N, 75° 49' W]

Type Material: Lectotype, MCZ 76037

Remarks

The binomen S. genitiva first appeared as a nomen nudum (Maynard, 1919b [November 6]:32, 35).  The taxon name was spelled genitiva in the original description and genetiva on the plate caption, which was published together with the text. The taxon is listed as genetiva in Maynard's (1924?:[7]) sales catalog, the only other publication by Maynard in which it appears.  The spelling genetiva is an "incorrect original spelling" [Article 32.5.1, ICZN, 1999:39] and thus has no separate availability [Article 32.4, ICZN, 1999:39].  Clench (1957:146) listed this species as genitiva.
