Geographic Distribution: New Providence and Adjacent Islands, Bahama Islands.

Type Locality: Devereux Estate west end of New Providence [Island, Bahamas]

Type Material: Lectotype, MCZ 76137

Remarks

This taxon was later listed as S. deveruxi (Maynard, 1921b:140) and S. devereuaxi (Maynard, 1924?:[7]), and illustrated under its correct original spelling (Maynard, 1921b:pl. 36, figs. 9, 10). Gould and Woodruff (1986:475) synonymized this taxon with Cerion glans (Küster, 1844).
