Geographic Distribution: Grand Bahama Island, Bahama Islands.

Type Locality: Eight Mile Rock, Grand Bahama Island. [26° 32.5' N, 78° 48.6' W]

Clench (1938b:327-328, pl. 25, fig. 3) regarded C. chrysaloides to be the smallest member of the C. regina group. He reported that he failed to collect this species in April 1936 on Eight Mile Rock (except for a single dead specimen), and suggested that the hurricane of the past year may have destroyed this colony.
