Geographic Distribution: New Providence and Adjacent Islands, Bahama Islands.

Type Locality: South shore of New Providence Island, Bahamas, from west side of salina to Sound Point, two miles.

Type Material: Lectotype, MCZ 76126

There are 324 paralectotypes, including MCZ 356474 (135 specimens).

Remarks

Gould and Woodruff (1986:478) regarded this taxon to be a synonym of Cerion gubernatorium (Crosse, 1869).
