Remarks
Clench (1933:97) initially considered C. fairchildi to be related to C. glans, but, based on a larger subsequent sample, transferred this species to the C. regina group (Clench, 1934:207).
He noted that shells are usually flat white, with occasional specimens exhibiting strong, color blotches of light chocolate-brown. No smooth specimens were collected.
