Lectotype, ANSP 147406. Clench & Aguayo, 1952 designated the figured specimen (Pilsbry, 1929: pl. 4, fig. 13) as lectotype in the ANSP collections, without specifying a catalog number. Baker (1963:207) lists the lectotype as ANSP 147406a,. There are 2 paralectotypes, now ANSP 400360.

Boyko & Rosenberg (1999:46-47) discuss the attribution of this taxon to Pilsbry, and provide data on type specimens, type locality.
