Geographic Distribution: Exuma Group of Islands, Bahama Islands.

Type Locality: North beach of Sampson’s Key, [Exuma Cays, Bahamas].

Type Material: Lectotype, MCZ 76235

There are  1,539 paralectotypes, including MCZ 357004, MCZ 76236, MCZ 118237 and USNM 420090 (100 specimens).

Remarks

Maynard (1920d:121) reported this taxon was common on palms.
