Geographic Distribution: Exuma Group of Islands, Bahama Islands.

Type Locality: Southern portion of Stocking Island, Exuma Cays, Bahamas

Type Material: Lectotype, MCZ 76135

Harasewych et al. (2007:443-444) reviewed the nomenclatural history and type material of this species and designated MCZ 76135 as the lectotype.  The remaining 1,146 specimens, including MCZ 76136, MCZ 118346, and USNM 420106, are paralectotypes.
