Geographic Distribution: New Providence and Adjacent Islands, Bahama Islands.

Type Locality: Old Thompson Place, off East Bay Street, Nassau [New Providence Island, Bahamas]

Type Material: Lectotype, MCZ 76333

There are 441 paralectotypes, including MCZ 76332 and USNM 420116 (100 specimens).

Remarks

Gould and Woodruff (1986:476) regarded this taxon to be "intermediate" between Cerion glans and C. gubernatorium.
