Type Locality: Cat Key, Berry Islands, Bahamas [25° 25' N, 77° 49' W]

Type Material: Lectotype, MCZ 76213

There are 1,499 paralectotypes. including MCZ 76212, MCZ 118216, and USNM 420102 (500 specimens).
