Geographic Distribution: Exuma Group of Islands, Bahama Islands.

Type Locality: South end of Ship Channel Key, [Exuma Group, Bahamas].

Type Material: Lectotype, MCZ 76035

There are 1,069 paralectotypes., including MCZ 76036, MCZ 118226 and USNM 420015 (50 specimens).

Remarks

The binomen S. navalia appeared twice as a nomen nudum (Maynard, 1919b:32, 35).
