Type Locality: Matanzas, Cuba

Pilsbry and Vanatta (1896:322) list "Matanzas and other localities in eastern Cuba."

Type Material: Lectotype, ANSP 25280a

Baker (1963:206) designated the specimen figured by Pilsbry and Vanatta (1896:pl. 11, fig. 4) as the lectotype.
