Geographic Distribution: Curacao, Dutch West Indies.

Type Locality: Curaçao [12° 9.1' N, 68° 56.1' W]

Type Material: Lectotype, ANSP 257540

ANSP 257540 contains 3 specimens, including the one illustrated (pl. 11, fig. 1) and subsequently identified as the lectotype by Baker (1963:206) and distinguished under catalog number 257540a.  The lectotype retains ANSP 257540, while the 2 paralectotypes, including the sectioned specimen mentioned in the description, are now ANSP 411924.
