Geographic Distribution: Exuma Group of Islands, Bahama Islands.

Type Locality: Farmers Cay, 1 mile SW of Great Guana Cay, Exuma Group, Bahamas. [23° 57' N, 76° 19' W]

Type Material: Lectotype, MCZ 76004

Harasewych et al. (2007:445-446) reviewed the nomenclatural history and type material of this species and designated MCZ 76004 as the lectotype. 

The remaining specimens MCZ 356999,  MCZ 76003, and MCZ 118252 are among the  ≤ 79 paralectotypes.
