Original Description

"140. S. hart-bennettii.  Smaller, .80 [20.3 mm] by .32 [8.1 mm] : aperture .20 [5.8 mm]; costae 19, about one half as wide as interspaces; blue-white sharply streaked with ash-brown.  Potters Key.  Common, 500.  Plate 42, figs. 3, 4." (Maynard & Clapp in Maynard 1921:146)
