Original Description

"C. salvatori Torre, pl. I, fig. 12, which is abundant at Playa de Santa Fé, Punta Brava, in Havana Province.  The type of this species, fig. 11, is from Jaimanitas; length 31.5 mm, diam. above aperture 12 mm.  This species is very similar to the Cárdenas region C. sagraianum, but widely separated geographically."  (Pilsbry, 1927:74)
