Original Description

"50. S. pusilla.

Small, .70 by 30; costae, 60 about as wide as interspaces; white. flesh-colored within, streaked with yellow-red. Key near Long Rock, Great Exuma. 700, 12 only living. Plate 22, figs. 5." (Maynard and Clapp in Maynard, 1921a:127)
