Original Description

"24.  S. cervina.

            Larger than S. fulvia. 1 30 by .47 with fewer costae, 30, which are slightly narrower than interspaces: color, darker.  Exceedingly abundant on Refuge Key (east of Norman's Pond Key) on palms, bushes, and small trees.  3480.  Plate 22, figs. 8, 9."
