Original Description

STROPHIOPS CAERULEA.

Blue Strophia.

Small, .92 by .40; rather oval; whorls 8. costate; ribs low, polished, regular, 22 on ultimate whorl; aperture, arched; margin expanded; color grayish blue.  In field north of Ft. Charlotte, Nassau.  Now extinct.  Examined 50.
